With the completion of the Rhine-Main-Danube Canal it has become possible to sail through 13 countries on a continuous 3,000 mile long river network. On luxury European river cruises the days are yours; there is no packing and unpacking, no checking in and out of hotels, no endless lines of traffic along incomprehensible inner city roads, and no worrying that you might have left something behind. Having checked in and unpacked the most you need to worry about is whether to have the red or white complimentary wine with your evening meal and if you should borrow one of the ships bicycles to explore or stay on ship and enjoy a massage.
To ensure that every aspect of your journey meets our rigorous standards we prioritise attention to detail. Our elegantly decorated ships are equipped with two lounges, health and beauty saloons, restaurants with commanding views of the river, a library and a host of elegantly appointed state rooms to offer the finest in luxury European river cruises. Each state room comes furnished with a complete infotainment system, including internet access, flat screen TV, English language news and music channels, and satellite phone, as well as terry bathrobes and slippers, white-on-white plush bedding, and individually controlled air conditioning. All rooms are, of course, en-suite.
Our onboard chef provides a magnificent table d'hôte for three meals everyday. Start the day with a champagne breakfast and choose from an assortment of breads, pastries, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, smoked salmon, several types of cheese, cold cuts of meats, local sausages and a daily regional dish. Other breakfast items are also available but the chef is confidant that his continental breakfast buffet is second to none. A three course lunch with coffee normally goes down well in the day time and for the evening our elegant dinners or traditional themed menus are accompanied by free flowing wines from local vintners.
